I've spent the last decade working around trucks and trailers. Like many vehicle owners, I often found it difficult to locate clear and reliable specification charts online. Important information was usually scattered across multiple sources, making research time-consuming and frustrating. That experience inspired me to create AutoChartGuide.
Confessions of a guy who got tired of guessing his truck's towing capacity - and the launch of a new site
I was standing in my driveway trying to figure out one thing: how much could my truck actually tow. Simple question. It took me four hours, six tabs, two forums, and a PDF I had to download twice to get an answer I still wasn't sure I trusted.

I'm Tanim. I've spent the last decade working around trucks and trailers, first at my uncle's parts counter, then doing my own towing and repair work on the side. Friends and coworkers call me the "chart guy" now, because somewhere along the way, tracking down the real number for something - a torque spec, a tire size, a cross-reference part number - became a weirdly specific skill of mine.
It didn't start as a hobby. It started out of frustration. I needed my F-150's real towing capacity for a specific trim and engine, and every source gave me a different number. One blog quoted the base model. A forum thread quoted last year's spec. A YouTube comment section was arguing about GCWR vs. GVWR like it was a religious debate. Nobody cited where their number actually came from.
That day I dug through the manufacturer's own towing guide PDF and found the real answer in about four minutes - once I knew exactly where to look. And that's when it hit me: the number itself wasn't hard to find. What was hard was finding a site that had already done the digging, verified it, and just showed me the table.
Where the problem actually was
Every time I needed a chart - tire size, battery group size, oil filter cross-reference, torque spec - I ran into the same wall. Either the content was 1,500 words of filler wrapped around a number I had to scroll forever to find, or the chart was a blurry screenshot from 2016, or three different sites gave me three different answers with zero sourcing. Nobody was treating the chart as the actual product. It was always an afterthought bolted onto a "10 Things Every Truck Owner Should Know" listicle.
For someone standing in a driveway, at a parts counter, or halfway through a repair, that's not good enough. You don't want an essay. You want the number, sourced, right now.
So here's the announcement
The site I kept wishing existed - I built it. Today I'm officially launching AutoChartGuide.com - a straight-answers reference site for the charts and specs vehicle owners actually need: towing capacity, tire size and load ratings, torque specs, battery sizing, parts cross-reference, and more.
This site runs on one rule: the chart comes first, the article comes second. Every number is pulled from manufacturer spec sheets, official service documentation, or recognized standards - and cited, right under the table, so you can check it yourself. No AI-guessed numbers, no copy-pasted-and-never-verified data. If a chart changes when a new model year drops, we update it. If we're not sure, we say so instead of guessing.
Here's what you'll find on the site: towing and payload capacity charts by make and model, tire and wheel spec charts (size, load range, speed rating, pressure), battery size charts, parts cross-reference charts (oil filters, spark plugs, belts), torque specs, and vehicle comparison charts. New charts go up every week, and every existing one gets re-verified on a schedule - not just published once and forgotten.
