That's the whole reason Auto Chart Guide.com exists.
Why we built this
Automotive specification data is often scattered across multiple sources, making it difficult to quickly verify which information is current and accurate. Forums argue over numbers with no source. Blog posts recycle a chart from five years ago without checking if it still applies to the current model year. Automotive information is often copied across websites without proper verification. As a result, outdated or inaccurate specifications can spread quickly and make it difficult for vehicle owners to find information they can trust.
I got tired of digging through multiple sources and manufacturer documentation just to verify a number that should have been easy to find. That's why I created Auto Chart Guide: a place where the chart is the content, and every number is sourced clearly enough that readers can verify it themselves. So we built the site we wished existed: one place where the chart is the content - not a decoration bolted onto 1,500 words of filler - and every number is sourced clearly enough that you can verify it yourself in ten seconds.
Who's behind Auto Chart Guide
Auto Chart Guide is run by Tanim, who built this site after years of frustration with how inconsistently automotive spec data is presented online - numbers copied from site to site with no clear origin, no update date, and no way to tell if they're still accurate for a given model year or trim.
Tanim's background is in research and data verification, not turning wrenches for a living - and that's on purpose. Every chart on this site is built the same disciplined way: pull the number from the manufacturer's official documentation or a recognized industry standard, cross-check it against at least one independent source, cite where it came from, and mark the date it was last confirmed. If a number can't be verified, it doesn't get published - no filling gaps with a plausible-sounding guess.
How we verify every chart
- Primary sources first - manufacturer towing guides, OEM service documentation, SAE/DOT standards, and official spec sheets, not secondhand blog posts
- Cross-checked, not copy-pasted - every number gets checked against at least one independent source before publishing
- Dated and re-verified - every chart shows a "last verified" date, and specs tied to model years get rechecked when new years are released
- Corrections welcome - if you spot something that looks off, tell us. We'd rather fix it fast than defend a mistake
